Privian AI LLC ("Privian", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website at privian.ai and the Helix Platform (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.

We take privacy seriously. The Helix Platform is built on the principle that your data stays on your hardware. That philosophy extends to how we handle the limited information we collect from visitors to this website.

By using our website or submitting your information to our waitlist, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Waitlist & Contact Form

When you submit our waitlist or contact forms, we collect:

  • Name — so we can address you personally
  • Email address — to send you product updates and access invitations
  • Company or organisation name — to understand your use case
  • Use-case interest — the Helix tier you selected (Home, Business, Education, Enterprise, or MSP)

1.2 Automatically Collected Data

Our web server automatically records standard access logs when you visit the site or submit a form. These logs may include:

  • IP address
  • Timestamp of the request
  • HTTP method, path, and status code
  • Browser user-agent string

This information is used solely for security monitoring, abuse prevention, and operational diagnostics. It is not used for advertising or profiling.

1.3 What We Do Not Collect

We do not use cookies, advertising trackers, third-party analytics scripts (such as Google Analytics), or any form of fingerprinting on this website. We do not collect payment information, government IDs, or sensitive personal data through this site.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Waitlist management — to track your place and notify you when Helix is available for your tier.
  • Product communications — to send updates about the Helix Platform, early-access invitations, and material changes to our service. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Support — to respond to enquiries you send us.
  • Security & operations — to detect abuse, diagnose issues, and maintain the reliability of our infrastructure.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for targeted advertising.

3. Data Storage & Security

Waitlist submissions are stored on infrastructure operated by Privian AI LLC — specifically on Amazon Web Services (AWS Lightsail) in the United States and on our own on-premises servers. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport (TLS) and access controls on all stored data.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Data Retention

We retain waitlist information for as long as necessary to contact you about the Helix Platform or as required by law. If you ask us to delete your data, we will remove it from our active systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days, unless we are required by law to retain it longer.

5. Third-Party Services

Our website is hosted on AWS Lightsail. Traffic to our site passes through AWS infrastructure. Please refer to the AWS Privacy Notice for information about how AWS handles data.

We load fonts from Google Fonts and the Tailwind CSS CDN (hosted by Google and Tailwind Labs respectively). These services may collect your IP address when your browser requests these resources. We are working to self-host these assets to eliminate this dependency.

We do not share your personal information with any other third parties.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Objection — object to our processing of your data.
  • Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Opt-out of communications — unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@privian.ai. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Our website and Service are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at privacy@privian.ai and we will delete it promptly.

8. International Visitors

Our servers are located in the United States. If you are accessing our website from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located. By using our Service, you consent to this transfer.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the legal basis for processing your personal data is your consent (given when you submit the waitlist form) and our legitimate interest in operating and improving the Service.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will notify waitlist subscribers by email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
